How to define a kernel parameter?

I want to define a kernel parameter for boot time configuration.

Seems that NO tutorial for this kinda thing.

Anyone knows how it is done?

Hello, I am not pretty sure what is the exact usage of this kernel parameter. But in common use , you only have to append your parameter at the call in /boot/grub/menu.lst. This parameter is after booting systemwide readable through /proc/cmdline...

Hope this helps a little bit.
