Question How to Add Time Zone option to the VFAT

i would like to add time zone functionality to the linux vfat file system. I have to work on the following bug reported at bugzilla.kernel.org.

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8037

I would like to know some tutorials for understanding linux source code for file systems. I want to know where is the time attached to the newly created file etc in the code.

I shall be really thankful for the quick responses.

we will not do YOUR homework

if you have a very specific question on some part of the code , we can point you in the direction .
