Smile Frame Buffer Error in 2.6 kernel

Hi ALL;

I am trying to get the framebuffer driver to be up for my ARM PXA255 intel processor.i am compiling kernel 2.6.26.3. But while porting it to the board
it is getting errors.Below is what i get when i run the boot command:

pxa2xx-fb: probe of pxa2xx-fb failed with error -12

when i tried to debug it I got to know that the error is because of the
function "really_probe" present in file linux/drivers/base/dd.c

plz find the solution of this problem and help me out...
