I'm trying to compile the Puppy 4.1.2 kernel (linux-22.214.171.124) with sfs patches. After running make config and make, I get the following error:
In file included from arch/x86/boot/compressed/misc.c:244:
arch/x86/boot/compressed/../../../../lib/inflate.c: In function 'gunzip':
arch/x86/boot/compressed/../../../../lib/inflate.c:1254: error: 'bytes_out' undeclared (first use in this function)
arch/x86/boot/compressed/../../../../lib/inflate.c:1254: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
arch/x86/boot/compressed/../../../../lib/inflate.c:1254: error: for each function it appears in.)
make: *** [arch/x86/boot/compressed/misc.o] Error 1
make: *** [arch/x86/boot/compressed/vmlinux] Error 2
make: *** [bzImage] Error 2
Actually, there's no bytes_out declaration into inflate.c
I need t understand why it is undeclared, I mean: what should I do, in terms of configuration, to include a piece of code containing that declaration?
Please, find attached the .config file made after a "make config"
Thanks to all who will enlighten me
