Unhappy encore m3 bsp: kernel 2.6 build fails at this point..where do I debug?

Hi,

I m trying to build the 2.6 kernel with board support for the Ampro Encore M3 board with the AU1500 MIPS processor. I get stuck at the following point and get the error given below: Any suggestions on where I could debug?

CHK include/linux/compile.h
UPD include/linux/compile.h
CC init/version.o
LD init/built-in.o
LD .tmp_vmlinux1
kernel/built-in.o(.text+0x487c): In function `copy_process':
: undefined reference to `_atomic_dec_and_lock'

Thanks,
Ashlesha.
