Cross-LFS PPC kernel boot error

hi, im a newbie to the forums.

i created a cross-lfs 1.1.0 system on an ibook G4. Everything seemed to install correctly and i complied kernel into it because i wanted full ext4 support. The only extra things i selected were drivers for networking. The problem that i am having is when booting, yaboot gets stuck on "reurning from prom_init" and nothing happens. I know that the system works becuase i tried implementing the Ubuntu kernel and initrd and it worked fine, except i didnt have the right drivers so dhcpcd didnt work. My kernel does not have an initrd...

Does anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
