crc error when uncompressing linux image

Hi,
I compiled kernel 2.6.29 for ixp425 processor. When I load thy zImage and run on my board (which is an E2Brain module with ixp425 processor, called EB425, manufactured by Kontron), it says

Starting user's image 0 ...

Uncompressing Linux.............................................................

crc error

-- System halted

The image is not altered in anyway after compilation. So what might be the problem?

Thanks in advance.
-rohit.
