Crash happened in invalidate_list function in kernel 2.4.17

Hello All,

Good Morning to all.

My system is kernel 2.4.17 version,i got crash in this kernel. When i analysed this crash,i get some information.Crash happened
in invalidate_list function(fs/inode.c).In this function when i walk(using gdb) through this list(number of unused inode numbers)i get some invalid entries(next and prev are NULL) in that list. But,i couldn't able to get it why this list contains invalid entries. How to identify where this list is corrupted.

Could you tell me why this crash happened.

Thanks & Regards,
Murali.S

Saying you've got an error is not enough info (ran ksymoops on syslog stack trace?), besides and you've not been telling us what you've been doing to make it go bezerk and the kernel is rather old. Does this happen with the most recent 2.4.x? If it does you better get on the LKML, giving as much info as you can.
