compiling kernel 4.10.+ with kernel-package


kernel image is good, but does not compile headers.

Hi jwoodwar, and it's very nice to hear from a long time member.

First I think your question might be better in the Linux Kernel forum, however it would seem to need some additional information in order for people to be able to help you.

What distribution are you trying to build? Straight from kernel.org, Debian (shown in your profile), or something else?

And what you're saying is that it fails to pre-process the header files?

Can you post the specific error and some additional details within [code][/code] tags?

Starting from Jessie, it's recommended to use make deb-pkg instead of kernel-package (make-kpkg).
Did you update/configure your ".config" file ("make oldconfig" and friends)?
