Compile time options /proc/config.gz
I have been given the administrative duties of a redhat box that was built by an airhead. Apparently he/she/it didn't bother to log the compile time options in the config.gz. Is there a way to reconstruct this file from the running kernel?
So you believe this to be a custom kernel ?. Check the easy things first:
- do you have the source tree ?. Does it have a .config (hidden) in the top level of the tree.
- is there a suitable config-... in /boot ?
Else have a look in your source tree for ../scripts/extract-ikconfig.
