compile old kernel problem
Has anyone compiled 1.x linux kernel using current gcc(such as 3.2 on RedHat 9.0) ?
I try to compile linux kernel 1.3.x with RAMDISK support in a floppy disk. When the kernel try to find the RAMDISK it complains that it couldn't find RAMDISK and end up with the "kfree non-kmalloced memory".
I use rdev to config the RAMDISK params. Although it can't find the RAMDISK it shouldn't "kfree non-kmalloc memory".
Where can the trick be ?
Can anyone who have compiled the old kernel give some advie or some useful links?
many thks
