Cant compile MODULE (Kernel)

Hi all,
I am new to linux as well as kernel programing.I installed fedora 7 on my system. I wrote the Hello World program. but not able to compile it.

@ is the source code/object should be in particulat directory?
@ do we have to check for lib ?

This is the error message I get.....

[root@localhost modules]# make
make -C /lib/modules/2.6.20-2925.9.fc7xen/build M=/lib/modules modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.20-2925.9.fc7xen/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [default] Error 2

I tried may ways for compiling...... but getting the same error....

when I tried to see the that location /lib/modules/2.6.20-2925.9.fc7xen/BUID........ File BUILD is 0bytes........ when i open that it says It does not exist.... What should I do ... help Me.
