apache version httpd-2.2.14 compatibility with RHEL5 U5

Hi,

I want to know "Is apache version httpd-2.2.14 compatible with RHEL5 U5"

Apache version : 2.2.14

New OS Release : RHEL5 U5
New Kernel Version: 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 / 64 Bit Arch

Please confirm that the current Apache version is compatible with the new OS version.

Thanks

Rhel 5 isn't the newest but it is compatable as long as you have the right revision. If you look at a packages version number it will list the family of OS that it is compatible with. You should just be able to do a yum install/upgrade httpd and it will pull it down from the RHN satellite channel you have set. You can also add the EPEL repository and it will have it. If you really need to you can look at trying to find the RPM and install it manually(use this as your last resort).

http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/2/simple/2 allows you to search for RPMs based upon a certain family of OS.
