Yoper: Trying to Install Belkin Wireless Card
Hey gang you have been great so far. I want to use my Belkin wireless card and I have the package i need to make it work (or so I am told) <---its "atmelwlandriver" by the way if that helps. The problem is that I need to modify the kernel slightly and I am almost positive that the kernel was not included on the install of Yoper(it is not in the /usr/src/ folder). At any rate, does anyone have any suggestions? Any better ideas? The card is already in the machine and finctions great with my *gulp* XP OS.
PS: I tried editing my LILO boot via the program that is used by Yoper (very similar to Mac OS system preferences) but I have no idea how to edit from that screen, any help? Cheers |
What model and version is this card?
You will need to do apt-get kernel-source to get the kernel source. After you do that (might take a little while) the kernel source should be in the /usr/src. Andrew |
Do i need to be connected to the internet to use apt-get?

Ya apt-get will download yoper packages and use its package manger to install them... The kernel source is a big download too...
