XP/Mandriva sys, two sound cards: integrated & additional. Prob in linux

Hello,
I am running a duel boot sys, XP reads my plug and play sound card fine, but Mandriva is not using it at all. My integrated card still responds in linux, but I aslo get static noise. How can I disable the integrated card in Mandriva and use only the plug 'n play?

Have a look in the BIOS. Built in sound cards can often be disabled at BIOS level.
