xorg issue secure boot from nvidia driver

Hi there,

I have just spent many an hour trying to install nvidia drivers for a GTX 970 on ubuntu 16.04. I tried to install them from the software and updates, but it wouldn't complete, so I used apt-get and it did. However what it did half way through was ask to set a password to disable secure boot. Again, when I went to reboot, I would end up with no video output post grub, so I went into the bios and changed secure boot there. However, came up with a message saying there was a problem, looking at it, it is to do with xorg. But I was a little stupid an clicked the ignore button so I don't know if it will come up again. Is this going to become an issue for me, and how can I get this driver properly signed so it will work normally?

To sign your own kernel modules you need to add your own Machine Owner Keys into your UEFI firmware. You can then sign the nvidia driver and any other modules you want. You need to read up on how to do this for Ubuntu.

In the future better formed sentences and paragraphs may get you a quicker answer.
