XANDROS 3.0 and atheros wifi
 

i want to install XANDROS 3.0 and use my netgear wg-511t.
i have been unable to get it to work on any dist. that i have tried out.
could somebody please help.

Have you checked the Xandros Hardware database?

oh sorry i don't know how to close this out.

it was really wierd. i read that it supported the prism so i installed the os with a netgear wg-511 card. couldn't get it to work.
when i tried installs with the wg-511t "atherose" card it would say unsupported hardware.
so i installed with the 511 card and couldn't get it to work. for the hell of it i pulled out the 511 card while the system was still running and inserted the 511t card. and it worked.

not sure why this worked but i havn't had a problem with my netgear wg-511t since then and it works great.

if you know how i can close out this post please let me know since the issue is resolved and i just explained how i resolved it.
