X11 mouse tuning

Hi there,

I there any way to change the parameters for my M$ Intellimouse? Using the slider in Gnome's control center mouse applet, the mouse speed is maxed out.

Any conf-file to tweak????

TIA

Thumbs up Solved

It's relativly easy! One can change the "resolution" (Ticks/inch) by an extra option in /etc/X11/XF86config-4

Here is the whole section for future reverence:

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "off"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Resolution" "250"
EndSection
