Exclamation X Server doesn't like Radeon 9000 Pro

Can someone /PLEASE/ give me a hint on this one. I've tried numerous times to try to fix it myself.

I have a Radeon 9000 Pro Sapphire Atlantis, NEC Multisync 4FGe (running off the CRT port, not the DVI via the DVI-VGA adapter), ASUS A7V8X, XFree 4.3.0 (4.2.0 is also an option)

The problem is with the configuration.
Whenever I boot Linux now, after I have installed the new 4.3.0 drivers, the X Server does not load.
According to the error log, it cannot "Find Any Devices" that the driver is refering to and spews out: "no screens found"

I have no GUI for RedHat Linux 8.0 now.
I am using WinXP Pro.
It is corrupting my mind.

"It's the Microsoft-ness..... I feel...Saturated...by it. And everytime I smell it, I feel as though I have somehow been INFECTED by it's repulsiveness.."

Help. Please.

ATI Radeon 9000 and Redhat 8.0

I finally figured out how to load the video drivers for the ATI 9000 Pro.

A problem that I had as well as others ovewr the net is that it can't find the right screen. i.e. Can't find screen0. or o.o. Edit the XFree86Config-4 or the XFree86Config file and look for busID. Change the

1:0:1 to 1:0:0

This should get everything going. Also if you upgrade your kernel you must reinstall your rpm package and force it using the -i switch. Watch the messages carefully. It will tell you to go to a directory and run some .sh files to make it compatible with your new kernel.

E-mail me with more specific questions if you need to.
