I would like to be able to switch between having two seperate desktops and one large screen. I don't know if its possible without having to change my xorg everytime i want to, so if not, I would like to have one big desktop. Main on the right, extended to the left. I have a ATI Radeon 9550 (it shows something else in xorg) for my main monitor, and im planning on using the Matrox card on my fixed frequency monitor.

I hope that's enough info...

Thanks,
Marc

Should be enough try this.

Code:
# /etc/X11/xorg.conf (xorg X Window System server configuration file)
 #
 # This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
 # values from the debconf database.
 #
 # Edit this file with caution, and see the /etc/X11/xorg.conf manual page.
 # (Type "man /etc/X11/xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
 #
 # This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
 # if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
 # package.
 #
 # If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
 # again, run the following command:
 # sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Now you are going to have to make sure that you reformat the sections to match the indentation that is already present in the file. Right now it is setup for the xinerama if you want the two separate screens then put a # in front of that line and remove the # from the Load "xtrap" line and then restart the X server. If this does not work post the log file again make sure to copy it to a safe place before your restore your working backup of the xorg.conf file to restart X otherwise it will get overwrote.

it doesnt work... it flickers, then stops... The closest i've gotten to it was using BLAG 30002... I got it to kind of work, but it wasn't really helpful...

Thanks,
Marc
