wtf IS my laptop


i just got a laptop (233mhz 32megs RAM 3gig HD) and i dont know what type it is (ie IBM etc.) im planning to put gentoo or slack on it but i want to make sure everything will work right and i also want to add some more ram to it through crucial. can anyone tell me how to find out its manufacturer and model type (it's got win98 on it right now)

got a shape, color, size ? maybe some info from the stickers on the bottom
