Tekerz LQ Newbie Registered: Apr 2005 Posts: 6 Rep:	Writing to Hard Drive issue? Hey, I'm having an issue with a server where writing to a hard drive (either SCSI or IDE) hesitates a few seconds (4 to 10 seconds). I work on quite a few linux servers and haven't seen this before. The drives I'm using are new and being that it happens with both SCSI and IDE makes me wonder? I'm running CentOS 3.4 (Machine is non-production webserver). This issue happens when writing to a text file with various editors or even during the install things seemed slow. The machine is a Dual Xeon with 1GB of RAM. Any help would be appreciated.
