i am building my own little system. now that i am beyond compiling the kernel and writing the sysinit file file, i am trying to get my net up.
i have an avm fritz!wlan usb stick version 2.0. it works fine on windows (which i intend to get rid of as soon as i can access the network...). I am using the fwlanusb.sys driver over ndis. the driver gets loaded without errors, ndiswrapper -l reports both driver and device present.
however, there is no interface. neither ifconfig -a nor iwconfig can find an interface (other than loopback and eth0, which is a sis900 10/100MBit ethernet adapter). /proc/net/wireless is also empty.
so what exactly does that driver i load do? did anyone have a similar expirience before? every driver i used over ndis before either worked ok or it obviously didn't (driver error, device errors). This weird mix is a first.
Thanks in advance
