wireless printer not working

I had posted about this in another forum and quit. Someone reminded me that I gave up too early so here I am, I'll tell you what I've tried. In debian system there is a way to add a printer using the system tool. I click add printer and it asks for my login and password. I've tried logging in as root, user and router info. No matter what I put I get invalid password. I tried hplip and I get this"
Code:
  RE-CHECKING DEPENDENCIES
------------------------
|No protocol specified

(xsane:24130): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
error: A required dependency 'pyqt4-dbus (PyQt 4 DBus - DBus Support for PyQt4)' is still missing.
error: A required dependency 'pyqt4 (PyQt 4- Qt interface for Python (for Qt version 4.x))' is still missing.
error: Installation cannot continue without these dependencies.
error: Please manually install this dependency and re-run this installer.
I have a hp deskjet 4630.

I've gotten everything else working with a lot of help. I'd appreciate some more.

Thanks

By system tool do you mean the "print manager," cups interface, or HPLIP? I know Cups and HPLIP both work, I've never attempted to use the print manager. If you're trying to set up an HP that has scanning, I'd install hplip-gui and do it through that, it works quite well and should pull in all needed dependencies for itself and xsane for scanning, and set up xsane to properly access the scanner portion of the printer.

Have you installed those dependencies and restarted the printer installer?

print manager and hplip. My printer does have scanning, I'll give it a try. thanks

business-kid those dependencies are too vague. There are a lot of packages that fit but I don;t know which one.
