Wireless Network cards supported by linux
 
I have just changed from my viirus susceptible XP OS to linux. I am having trouble finding a Wireless network card supported by linux though. Can anyone recomend a good wireless card that is supported by linux? Your feedback will be much appreciated.

The D-Link DWL 520 works great for me with the CVS version of the Madwifi drivers:

Also, Orinoco cards work fine.

Any Atheros based card should work too.

Actually, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a card that doesn't work.

Welcome to LQ, Jertzey. If you haven't already seen it, I would recommend taking a look at the LQ Hardware Compatibility List which is designed to offer reviews of various hardware components. There is a section dedicated to Network Cards, and you may find it to be helpful. -- J.W.
