To the best of my knowledge, there are *NO* 802.11g drivers available for linux. For wireless, you'll need to stay with an 802.11b card and AP.
If you will consider a Prism based card or USB widget, then look
here for an appropriate device.
I use the MA311 pci card myself, coupled with the wlan-ng driver set.
