No signs anywhere of my card. ARe there other cards/OS that would be a better fit?Any assistance would be great, I am trying to cut down on all the cabling in my house. Is pcmcia on your system up and working? If you take the card out and put it back in do you get any beeps? If not try to stop and start the pcmcia service. If you get errors you may have to fix those first.

You said that there is no sign of your card. What if you do an ifconfig -a or an iwconfig, what comes up? Also if you look at the man page for pcmcia at the bottom you will see some other commands you can use to see what your pcmcia service thinks it has in its slot's if anything. This is a good way to trouble shoot the pcmcia service.

oops. I guess I should have checked that out first. :-) Ok, a few basic things to run over then quick. Redhat has a hardware browser. I forget where its at exactly but if you go through the menu's you will find it. Does the card show up there. Does it show up if you use ifconfig or iwconfig. Try using "-a" with the commands as well. Also if you fire up the network config utility does it detect it in there. If you don't see it add it. It should show up in the list if redhat recognizes it. Otherwise you may want to look at your driver install again. Check you script, Search around for some commands that will look at your pci bus and tell you what if anything is on it. I know there are some commands I just don't know what they are. Also maybe try the card in a windows box if you can, just to make sure the card isn't bad.
