wire fire


hi ,

i wanted to ask wither linux supports wire fire ..
i have mandriva 2006

Yes, FireWire (aka IEEE1394) itself is supported by Linux, however, as with USB you'll need to check whether individual firewire devices are supported before buying them.

www.linux1394.org is the place to look in.
There you'll find the latest drivers and librarys for using firewire.
Btw mandriva 2006 should work just fine
