will my lexmark printer/scanner work with mandriva?

Hi,i'm currently running fedora 7 on my desktop. I recently purchased a lexmark printer/scanner but so far i've been unable to find drivers for it. i was told by someone that lexmark and linux don't play well together. i don't want to pay for a new printer so is there anyway to get the drivers and if not fedora is there another distro that will work??

many thanks

From my limited reading, Lexmark is pretty much at the bottom of the list in terms of Linux support. (HP is at the top).

But, check LinuxPrinting and maybe Turboprint.

The Lexmark site might have SOME info....And maybe Google..

For completeness, please post the model name/number of the printer.
