i have two computers
one computer have AMD Duron 1300MHZ 256MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce MX/400 32MB
and configuration secend computer you know
but in first computer can't run Quake III

Same problem as the other computer had. You don't have opengl support for your card. In the case of this computer, you'll need to get the official drivers for your card from nvidia.com and install them on your computer.

after you installed the nvidia driver did you change your driver setup in xorg.conf? edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf (as root), and scroll down to "Section Device". change 'Driver "nv"' to 'Driver "nvidia"'. restart x, and you should now have opengl support.

i can't really help you about the voodoo problem, i haven't used a voodoo card since 2000. but if you use the links previously posted you should be able to get some drivers that support opengl for that one too.

hi problem with nvidia geforce II was solved
my xorg.conf insn't be in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.

but i have next problem with my voodoo 2
when i (in q3demo) go to /setup/system/Gldriver and change Generic to voodoo
it generate bug in console
