why linux not booting in my new hard drive?
I have a 8.4 Gb hard drive in which i use both windows Xp and redhat 9.0 I upgraded my computer with a 60 Gb hard drive having five partitions. The 60 Gb hard drive is hda (master) and 8.4 Gb hard drive is made to be hdb(slave). But when I tried to install redhat 9.0 in my partition `hda5', it shows a message---
"Boot partition '/' may not meet booting constraints for your architecture.
Creation of boot disk is highly encouraged."
then I continued to install redhat 9.0 & it was very well installed with Lilo
chosen as the boot loader on MBR. But the problem is that when my computer boots up, it shows no Lilo and starts to boot Windows XP. I have also tried to boot linux from boot diskette , but the result is the same.
However, I have tried installing redhat 9.0 on my hdb which is 8.4 Gb & It works very well. But linux doesn't work with my 60 Gb hard drive. What is the problem???
Can anyone help me??
