which server model is the best for linux email

I have an existing email system (exch 5.5). We are in the process of migrating to Lotus notes/Linux or Groupwise/OES Novell. I would like to know is what is the best choice of server model for the email system? I have 3 choice..It is either HP, IBM, or Dell. We will have 1500 mailbox and the email are being utilised heavily.
I really would like sincere opinion from anyone who has experience using any of the hardware models.
Any of these that are easily have faulty hardware, etc..

dell make good web servers, hp make good email servers..... nah, total nonsense.

you have a massive range of scale in each vendor... totally depends on the models inparticular that you are looking at... i can tell you that the dell 600sc is a bag of pants, but that says nothign about the rest of their range really.
