Help! I need to buy a new printer and have redhat 9. My last one was a HP660
with a parallel port thing but I do have a USB port available, as I don't think
any of the new printers out there have parallels.

Any one know a cheap color printer that will work with my distro (RH 9)? I downloaded
gimp-print-cups but there are a ton there to choose from and I have no idea
which ones are available to purchase (or which are not expensive). I imagine most of the ones listed are not even still available.

I use cups.

I did look there earlier, but nothing as to which printer now at stores would work for redhat 9. My distro is a little old for the printers now at stores.

printer support is only relative to your cups version/lpd and a bit about the kernel. Nothing relative to RH only.
