which device under /dev is my device?

I have a linux based desktop (kernel 2.4). After bootup, I inserted a usb flash disk into my usb port. I would like to mount the device. How do I discover which device under /dev the usb flash disk is?

Thanks,
Keith Stallings

Type dmesg at a terminal shortly after plugging in the USB device.
It'll likely say something to the effect of "USB device detected at /dev/XXX"

Mine shows up as /dev/sda1
