Where does apt place kernel-source?


I just downloaded kernel-source-2.6.8 on my Debian... But where does apt place the source?? I need this information for the install of my wireless??

Ok.. Thanks.... The problem is I'm trying to get my ipw2100 driver to work... So I'm typing this now:

make HOSTAP=/usr/src/modules/hostap-source KSRC=/usr/src/kernel-source-2.6.8/ install

But then it just says:
No rule for creating target 'install'. Stop.

(This was translated from Danish.. not really sure what it looks like in English.)...

So can someone tell me.. what am I doing wrong here?

Are you in the directory with the HOSTAP "Makefile"?

Shit.. I accidently did the commands in the wrong directories.. opposit of each other.. so the first was done in the hostap and the next in ipw2100.. which should have been the other way around... how do I fix the problem? and then try again
