What is the best solution for backup?

Hi, I just builded a webserver for a small company that my girl friend is starting. The server will be at hour home and I will maintain it.

The thing is that I am about to by a backup solution and I thought the best thing would be a tape backup drive SCSI. I found what I want be I'm looking for some advices on anything you guys might have tried or worked with.

Is tape backup drivers still a good solution?

Thanx!

A hard drive would be cheaper, faster and a whole lot easier to work with. You can buy a good IDE drive these days and pay around $ 0.75/Gig.

Check out this article at Linux Gazette.

Nortons Ghost is another good solution, once you have setup the server the way you want it, just make an image of it and store it on another computer. It has fucntion called multicast, which gives you the ability to make an image across a network and dump it onto the server. Or you can take an image from the server and dump it on a client. On a 100 mb network, a 4.5 gb image takes me approx. 12 minutes. And the good thing about it as well, you can do it to multiple machines at the one time.
