Smile what is the best graphics card for ubuntu 14.04 that draws under 90w?

greetings
new to linux.
I have a ATI HD4670 and Apparently ATI does not support Ubuntu's 14.04 new kernel for cards prior to HD5000 series.
im not much of a gamer but when i do game i need the fps to be above 18.
previously in XP the HD4670 was drawing under 80 watts and getting over 30 fps for the same game.
The built in OS drivers are OK but just not good for gaming
Can anyone suggest a card, New OR Older that pulls under 90w and whos drivers fully support ubuntu's new kernel? ATI or NIVIDIA doesn't matter.

Thanks in advance.

nVidia 750Ti is what I'd use. It uses PCI-e power only and will be much more powerful than the HW you currently have.

Thanks Chris i'll check that out. I tried the ATIProprietary driver Eddy1 but it just broke my system to boot to a black screen.

As Germany_chris pointed out the new Kepler architecture is set up to replace many of the low to mid range video cards.
And for the cost it is a great buy. I run a gt640 with 2gigs of ddr3 ram on my older computer I use for a media machine.
And will be looking to replace that with the gtx750. I did upgrade the power supply to a 400 watt but that is not needed with that
card. you will need 300 watt power supply which has been pretty much standard for the last decade.

It's Maxwell(750Ti), Kepler is the prevous generation (750). It was the first Maxwell now there is the 970/980 with more to follow.

I'm using a GT640 in my desktop at the moment and I find it out performs the 9800 GTX I used to use. It's not fanless but the power draw seems minimal and the proprietary drivers work well.
I do hanker after a GTX 760 Ti though...
