Well if you have not gone out of your way to install the Nvidia one then you are using the nv or vesa look into the /var/log/Xorg.0.log or /var/log/XFree86.0.log file depending on which you use and it will tell you in the section like this.

Code:
(II) LoadModule: "nvidia"
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.o
(II) Module nvidia: vendor="NVIDIA Corporation"
        compiled for 4.0.2, module version = 1.0.8762
        Module class: X.Org Video Driver

'Tis a noobs life for me!

Thanks again,

<sigh> 'Tis a noobs life for me! Are those "the log files" I've heard so much about.

I'm using nv -- right?

Quote:
(II) LoadModule: "nv"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv.o
(II) Module nv: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
compiled for 6.8.2, module version = 1.0.1
Module class: X.Org Video Driver
ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 0.7

Certainly are using nv and yes those are a couple of the numerous ones available for log files, if you can catch on to what they are telling you they are great source of information.
