Weird exFAT mount error (EOD entry)
Hey all!
I've posted this question on Ubuntuforums, and to this day have not gotten a response. So I'll try here. Now, I installed FUSE for exFAT and scons(if it has much relevancy, I found a script in another thread and tried using it. Unfortunately it didn't work ). And, well, I try to mount the exFAT partition (sdd1) via shell into the mountpoint 'media/name_WD'. And this happens: Code: Quote:
Anyone here to help me out? thanks! |
"changed back to XP"
Test it in XP maybe? |

With 'changed back to XP' I mean that I switched to my windows partition and then back into my linux partition. |
Maybe a partition off or overlapping. I'd re-create it both the partition and the exfat in MS and try again.

Well, we can say that the exfat is new in linux. I only pointed out that the partition could be off or overlapping.
Just because it works in other OS's doesn't prove what is bad. We either have to diagnose it or test it. I'd try to re-create is all. Some part has changed if you say it did work. |
formatted it. Unfortunately I couldn't find any other solutions. Thank you!

Can anyone share where to find the right package for
mounting Windows exFat filesystem? Code:
apt-get install fuse-exfat |
If you're sure you have the correct software for the format, try running a disk scanner which usually autocorrects those errors.
