Webcam Works under Cheese but not under Skype, help!!!!

Hi,

I am experiencing some trouble wit my Webcam since I move from Debian to Ubuntu Jaunty. I am having a Logitech Communicator STX and the gspca drive is installed. dmesg logs that the gspca driver is loaded and recognizes the Webcam.

I installed the program Cheese and Skype. Cheese recognizes the Webcam
under the same name/device as Skype does but skyp does not work properly. I attached two screenshots to clarify that.

Any ideas how to fix that every help is appreciated.

I don't understand what you mean: "skype doesn't work properly". Can you be a bit more explicit?

are you sure that gspca is the right driver for this webcam?

Yes i am certain because it worked on my Debian Machine before. here is the output:

lsmod | grep video
video 25360 0

and also like I said above the other application Cheese (Photobooth) works fine it is just skype that does not.
