web cam and mic doesn't work


hello, i've got this notebook toshiba satellite P750-10Q Optimus.
the issue is that when i run cheese for example, the output is extremly lagging and mic doesn't work at all.
i've been digging in google but found nothing related.
i am using debian 6.0.3 squeeze.
