want to know OpenSuse 13.2 minimum system requirements(with Gnome 3.18)
i want to run opensuse 13.2 with Gnome desktop. what's the minimum (i repeat, Minimum) processor and ram requirements for following tasks to be performed smoothly (i repeat SMOOTHLY):
1. surfing on the Internet with 4 or 6 tabs opened in Mozilla (i.e: facebook, various online judges).
2.coding on Codeblocks or Sublime.
3. playing music at background.
(n.b: generally, i will be coding on Codeblocks with one or two tabs opened in Browser for most of the times)
another question: is "Celeron Quad Core N2940, 2.16GHz processor & 2GB ram" laptop is well enough for doing the above tasks Smoothly
Thank You.

Reason: adding more precise description
Going by this page: https://en.opensuse.org/Hardware_requirements
which is for Leap 42.1 which is even heavier, I would say your processor should be fine, or perhaps a little bit slow, although it soundly trounces the recommended processor, and I would recommend 4GB of RAM if you can. 8GB is unnecessary.
gnome eats a lot of ram itself, I do not know Codeblocks, but it looks like a heavy ide, so it will take a lot too (not to speak about Mozilla). As a minimum 2 GB would be (almost?) enough, but for a smooth work I suggest you to use more (4 GB). Adding even more RAM (like 8 or 16 GB) will/may allow to use ramdisk (for /tmp) which can speed up compiling and can make gnome more responsive. Probably you can buy additional RAM later if your initial size was not really suitable.
The last time I tried Gnome, with Ubuntu, the 32-bit version idled at 460 MB. With KDE, Mageia suggest a minimum of 1.5 GB and Calculate recommend 2 GB. On that basis, I'd suggest that 2 GB should do. Try it and see: there's no sense in buying extra memory if you don't need it.
That depends only on the load. I would say your desktop will work with that CPU. I have a Dell laptop with intel core i3 (2 cores only) and works perfectly.
