Want to buy a printer, best option to use with Leap 42.1?

I would like to buy a printer that can print/copy/scan that will work on Leap 42.1 however I do not want a colour printer, just black.

Does such a thing exist and can anyone recommend a printer or brand to look for?

My next printer will come from this list: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/recommended.html

Hi...

I believe so. :)

As Emerson has suggested, HP is usually the way to go in Linux. In the list he mentioned is this printer which is supported by the HPLIP driver. :)

Is there another brand that works well with Leap or Linux in general?

Hp Photosmart C8180 caused me a lot of problems and HP were useless with support.

Brother has some.

I must say my HP laser printer (MFP 225dw) has been flawless with the HPLIP drivers. Mine is a wireless network printer/multifunction and its up and running in seconds. I deliberately went with HP this time around due to the driver support. I also have a brother MFC9700 that is still working fine. Brother's driver support is usually pretty good.

Hi...

What happened, out of curiosity?
