Want to buy a good quality sound card for under $40..

Can anyone recommend a pretty good quality (5.1, possibly 24bit?) sound card under $40, that'll work straight outa the box in Mandrake 9.2? I Know I sound a lil straight forward, but I just have had a bad issue of buying hardware from newegg formy linux box and the stuff not working..lol. So it would be appreciated, thanks!

How about a SoundBlaster Live! 5.1? I have one of those, and after a little work with ALSA, it worked great! It's around $20, so that's in your price range. I think I also saw an Audigy on Amazon for $40, those work too...
