Greetings,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I haven't found anything.
I want to buy a Wacom tablet for my sister's birthday, for now she's using Windows, and that shouldn't be a problem. The problem is that I am also trying to convert her pc to linux, in order to avoid having to service it once a month... So I wanted to know if a Graphire 4 A5 would work on linux with Xorg 7.1, and more important if Photoshop under wine would work with this.
I have no experience with this kind of device, so forgive me if I am asking stupid questions.
Also, if you believe there is a better brand, please inform me.

im not sure about photoshop under wine , have you considered using the gimp? im not a frequent user of either so i cant compare ,but it would be a good way to go. You can look here this should have all you need to know for wacom tablets under linux, it can be quite difficult to set up. Ive never given it a real shot,but a lot of distros seem support. Good luck with this

GIMP is not an option, the tablet isn't for me, it's for my sister, and she's not willing to learn to use another program.... Thanks anyway...
