Wacom Tablet

Has anybody managed to get a Wacom Tablet working under Mandrake 10.0 ?
My Tablet seems to be recognized, howerver it only moves on the vertical axis.

I have the identical issue. Athalon 1800, 512 ram, ATI Radeon 7000. Wacom Graphire2. Tried every included mouse driver.

In an e-mail to 'felicehome' I received this reply:

"It seems like the only option is to use the 2.4.xx kernel."

I truly am a newbie (one week of Linux) and rolling back the kernel sounds daunting. The other option suggested would be to use fedora core 1 ( the sound in core 2 is apparently busted).
