wacom not working properly

OK, I have another problem this time with my wacom intuos 3 tablet (USB). I upgraded my Suse 9.3 to 10 because of it. It didn't work in 9.3 now it "works". But the way it works is totally useless to me. It makes a small (and sometimes not so small) straight line when I put the pen down in both gimp and krita. I do have the newest wacom driver. But it makes no difference if it's the new driver or the default one. The weird thing is that it works even if I don't turn on the "Activate This Tablet" check-box. Basically whatever I do it works the same. Oh and another thing is that it doesn't work the first time I load the system, I need to restart it and then it works. I hope this makes sense to anyone and that someone has some suggestions
