Vostro 200 - Stuck in Grub Hell
Hello all.
I had set up my Dell Vostro 200 to run Fedora. Part of doing this was a need to change the bios settings for the disc. The downside of this is that the system will no longer boot from a CD or DVD.
I then tried installing a version of Ubuntu on the same machine. When the installation failed, I have now lost the ability to boot in Fedora, so I'm stuck with a grub prompt.
A couple questions.
1) How can I reset the bios so that I can boot from a CD?
a) The Vostro comes with USB only for mouse and keyboard so you can't interrupt the boot process with the function keys as the USB does not load until after bios... heh.
2) What are the commands within Grub to find the CD, launch the CD with either Fedora or Ubuntu and get going again?
Thanking you all in advance.
