Vivitar digital camera

Hi All!
I would like to get digital camera, and I found good deal for vivitar (4pxl £49.99). I just don't know if it will work on my mandrake linux. I know it works under Desktop/LX but I could not find anything about other distros.

Distros are pretty pointless, its all in the kernel. Mandrake is using 2.6.X, so is some other distro, then there's a 99% certainty it'll work between the two... and that last 1% is accounting for muckery that the distro has done to the kernel. If its a USB device, mass storage should almost certainly get it.

Thanks for reply Finegan.
I've bought this camera, and it works fine. I didn't know it works as a mass storage. It cannot be detected in gtkam, but I don't need it since I can get photos like from the hard drive.
I know what you mean saying about distros, but some commercial distros might provide drivers only to their "customers".
