vimicro 305 web cam
 

Hi, Im trying to get my new web cam going on fc2 x86_64. here are some technical details about which one I have:

P: Vendor=0ac8 ProdID=305b Rev= 1.00
S: Manufacturer=Vimicro Corp.
S: Product=PC Camera

I found a driver(spca5xx) that claims to support it. It builds fine. when I modprobe spca5xx I get the following:

modprobe spca5xx
insmod /lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358/kernel/drivers/usb/media/spca5xx.ko
FATAL: Error inserting spca5xx (/lib/modules/2.6.5-1.358/kernel/drivers/usb/media/spca5xx.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)


dmesg doesn't seem to have anything relevant. How can I figure what the problem is?
